The sickening and disheartening revelations just keep coming! At this point it really ought not to matter if you are Conservative, Liberal, NDP, something else or even “apolitical”. Our current government has obviously lost its moral foundation. It does not have to be this way! But it will only get worse... And I believe that the situation is already very dangerous, to dangerous to be ignored or shrugged off as “business as usual”. From what I have seen so far I believe that there are people, some in high offices of our government, that should go to jail for the scandalous and corrupt goings on of late. Yet, if news reports are to be believed, “most Canadians don’t even want to go to the polls right now.” Unbelievable and irresponsible! Rome is burning... And here we are, collectively, like Nero, standing on the summit of the Palantine playing our lyre as the flames of corruption, deceit, dishonesty and complete moral rot devour the pillars of our freedom, democracy and parliamentary process. Folks... It really is high time we got out the hose and flushed this crew! Please read the articles... Forward this along to your email lists... And then ACT! Take what ever measures you can. Join a group, join a political party (preferably Conservative), help a candidate that you feel is honest and has integrity to get elected, send emails or letters, make phone calls, send letters to the editor, make financial contributions to groups or individuals that are doing battle for causes you believe in or who are working to bring this government down. Call some Liberal MP’s across the country who you think have some integrity and similar values (Yes I think there are some) and plead with them not to let this continue. Please don’t just shrug and do nothing... Do something.

Mike, your piece is a wake-up call that's critically needed.
I'm convinced that liberty is lost incrementally while an apathetic public accepts the noble-sounding explanations of aspiring demagogues, and submits with docility to a loose fitting of the chains of bondage. Because, of course, it could never happen here. Not in our homeland. We're too civilized!
I'm reminded of the scene in "A Man for All Seasons" where Sir Thomas More refuses to unburden his mind to his friend, the Duke of Norfolk, and Norfolk, thinking him a little paranoid says (I'm paraphrasing, "This is England, not Spain!" Norfolk is soon to learn that there's precious little difference between Spain and England.
I'm reminded again of the history lessons about how the political movers and shakers in Germany saw Adolf Hitler as a bit of a lunatic, but a useful one they were sure they could keep in check.
With you, I pray for our nation. I pray that we'll learn from the lessons of history and awake to our danger while there's still time to preserve our liberty.
Mike.......Canadians in general have allowed the country to be stolen by not only the politicians, but by the 'tower of babel' rejects from 2nd and third world countries.....By embracing multiculturalism, a once proud nation has become a nation that is ignorant of the fact that it has been over run, that the batrtle is already lost, that the RCMP, for instance, gave itself away when it allowed turbans to be worn by the evil East Indians.. Health Care, that many Canadians tell us is free, that inefficient instittion that almost all Canadians demand, the registering of firearms, confiscation too....Nope, a political assination or 2 is required...and the country must deal with the French, the E. Indians, the aboriginals, etc....turf em all out....the homosexual agenda must be stopped and called what it is..the work of the Devil.....
